GLITCH BREAKS is a series of 1/1 music inspired visual artworks on Paras exploring the feedback transformation loop between MUSIC & ART 
Each GLITCH BREAK "Track" is an individual mix of a unique sample taken from a physical MUSIC GRAFFITI painting by the artist & music hacker ZEITWARP.
There are nine "Tracks" in each series of GLITCH BREAKS.
Nb: GLITCH BREAKS are in .gif format which is currently unsupported by Paras publications, however, some of the cards can be viewed at the bottom of the text.

GLITCH BREAKS  - Concept & Meaning:
GLITCH BREAKS is part of a long-term creative project called "FEEDBACK LOOPS" that explores the  phase-shifting transformation & symbiotic interrelationship between Music & Visual Imagery. 
The FEEDBACK LOOPS projects includes physical paintings, soundscapes, spectrograms, SONIC LOOP audiovisual MP4's, PULSED BEAT png's , and interpretive graphic scores. 
The process is ongoing as each generative iteration can then be used to create the next - hence FEEDBACK LOOP-ing.

Process:
A physical "Feedback Loop" MUSIC GRAFFITI painting is fractionalised into 9 unique "samples" which are then digitally remade/remodelled to create a series of discrete visual "stems" which are then assembled into an individual dynamic visual mix for each "Track".


The original painting has dimensions of 91cm x 61cm. Prior to finishing with the black quaver street art symbol, the background is scanned into a hi-res tiff format. 
The image is then trimmed of the bleed edge, removing the non-patterned black background edges, and then resized back to 90cm x 60cm. 
Nine unique "sample" selections are made in three rows of three. The sample above is taken from the top right corner of the trimmed painting image.


The samples are then digitally manipulated to create a number of separate visual "stems". The stems are then reassembled to create a dynamic glitched visual mix. These mixed samples are then minted as "Tracks" for that painting.

Series, Editions & Scarcity:
Each sample is unique, each mix is also unique. Each 'Track' is therefore a unique 1/1 edition.
An overall style of mix will be used for each painting and its associated set of Tracks, but each will be tweaked for a different individual effect.
Equally, each separate painting will have an overall themed remix so that the nine sampled Tracks for one painting will look different than those from another series/painting.
There are a total of 9 samples taken from an original physical painting background, corresponding to the nine Tracks in each series.
A title of "F Sharp IV- #5" indicates that the piece in question is Track 5 of a remix of Sample #5 from the original FEEDBACK LOOP painting "F Sharp IV".
All individual mixes are minted as 1/1 GLITCH BREAKS tracks. Royalties are set at 10%.

Roadmap
The plan is to explore offering non-specific ownership benefits to holders of GLITCH BREAKS within a FRACTAL MUSIC collective spanning both a DAO and Metaverse presence on NEAR.
The plan is "non-specific" at this point in time as it depends upon the capabilities of the AstroDao platform to manage small sub-communities / micro-DAOs...however - as an overview - the idea is to create downstream ownership benefits for each specific set of 9 GLITCH BREAKS, that accrue only to the holders of those tokens.

About ZEITWARP
ZEITWARP is a semi-pseudonymous Gen X artist and music hacker based near Cambridge in the UK, producing a hybrid of physical and digital artworks.
I have been minting & releasing CryptoArt almost exclusively on the NEAR blockchain since early 2021. Digital work from "The NO$TALGIA SHOW" was exhibited in a solo wall gallery at the NEAR NFT Lounge in Miami, June 2021.
My work is part of an "Art of Ideas" with the ambition to communicate a subjective thought process / philosophy within a senosry - normally audiovisual - format. The purpose of this is to stimulate a discussion and/or examination of the subject matter beyond simply the aesthetic surface appeal of the artwork.
Music - and in particular the technology, culture and economy of music - is often the motif to communicate these themes.
